The Stock Market.
F. R. Jackson and Co. report : — We had a full yard of stock at Wanganui yesterday. Cattle were at lowest values the result being that some of the pens passed out unsold. Sheep were well competed for, and good prices were obtained. Pigs were dull of sale, and receded in price as compared with last sale's rates. At Waverley we sold all that offered. Cattle, at Waverley— Fat cows, M 16s to £1 17s 6d ; steers, £3 ; forward cows, .£3 10s ; others, £2 10s to £3 ; heifers, £3 6s ; yearlings 245. At Wanganui — Small fat cows, JM 4s;' breeding cows, £2 Is ; steers £2 10s 6d to £'6 8s ; yearlings, 37s 6d ; calves 14s. Sheep— At Waverley — Ewes and wethers, 9s 6d ; hoggets 8s 6d to 9s 2d. At Wanganui— Fat ewes 12s to 13s ; stores, 10s ; hoggets, 7s 3d to 9s Id : store wethers, 12s ; shorn wethers, 9s. Pigs — Baconers, 80s ; large porker 16s to 25s ; porkers, 12s 6d to 15s ; small pigs, 4s 9d to Bs.
