Melbourne Wool Sales.
(Per Press Association.) Melbourne. Oot. 16. At the openiqg of the wool Bales 5830 bales were offered, and 4760 sold. There was a large and good competition, but animation was not very marked, which is ascribed to tbe latest London advices of lower prices. Compared with last year's opening prices^- good merinos greasies are Id, pieces Id, good crossbred Id to lgd, and inferior qualities £d, higher all round. Lambs are unchanged.
