CnRISTCHURCH, Oct. 14, This afternoon a fire was disccovered in the shingle roof of the boys dormitory at Christ's College, but it was extinguished before much damage was done. The fire was caused by sparks blown from a burning rubbish heap. The committee of the Insurers Protection Association are now engaged considering the tariff recently drawn up by the Insurance Companies. It is expected it will be a considerable time before the task is complete. Auckland, October 14. The present mayor, Mr J. J. Holland, has consented to stand for a third term of office.
