Feilding Cricket Club Concert.
- o We are glad to hear that the seats for the Cricket Concert are being rapidly taken up, in fact the concert committee have received an offer of L2B for the house. The manly good old English game has lately been on the wane in our township not withstanding that owing to the kindness of Mr Lethbridge, we have one of the best wickets in the North Island at our disposal. We own some of the best cricketers in the county, who are this year trying to revive the interest in the game. The club have kindly pre. sented the boys of the Feildtng School with all their old gear, with the idea of developing the came amongst the youngsters. The programme is first rate and of such a kind as has never yet been presented to the Feilding public. We sincerely hope the concert committee will be rewarded for the trouble they have taken by receiving a bumper house. The proceeds are to be devoted to thoroughly reuovatiDg the ground.
