Campbelltown Notes.
o-- — (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) The windy weather last week proved a great drawback to the carpenters who are building the Anglican Church. They have been anxiously waiting for the wind to drop, as they want to get the iron on the roof. The Church will be opened in about a fortnight, and the members intend to make the opening a great success, notice of which will be given in a few days. The members of the Excelsior Lodge held a splendid meeting last Thursday evening, a large number being present* A sewing competition for the Brothers, and a nail-driving conipetiton for the Sisters, took place. Bro. Mills won the sewing match, and Sister E. Mills the nail-driving. Sister Mitchell drove four 2 >- -inch nails into a piece of hard totara jn twenty-five seconds. A good many carpenters could not have done it in quicker time. The Y.P.CE.S. held an enjoyable meeting on Friday evening, in the Primitive Methodist Church. Mr Broacfbelt gave an admirable address on the "Life of Gideon," and Miss B. Jarvis gave an interesting account of the Convention, at which she attended at Wellington as ' rejoresen.safciy.e of the Society.
