Hides have generally declined £3, and basils jd. Leather is unchanged. The Tainui's cheese sold at 435. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Company has received the following cable message from London, dated 11th instant :— Tallow — There is a fair demand ; good beef tallow is worth 23a 3d per cwt. Frozen and Preserved Meats— Mutton market quiet ; Canterbury mutton is worth 4/,d per lb. Wellington mutton is worth 4|d per lb ; prime New Zealand lambs are worth per carcase, s£d per lb.
