«. The Colonial Treasurer is introducing an amending Bill providing that for the purposes of the certificate required under the Act every foreign fire and marine insurance company shall from time to time furnißh the Public Trustee witb a statement of its aifairs, whereupon the Public Trustee shall grant the certificate required unless he is of opinion that the company is not financially sound. All cash deposited with the Trustee under the Act is to bear interest at such rate as the Govern-or-in-Council from time to time determines. Such of the provisions of " The Life Assurance Companies Act, 1873," ars relate to the registration of policies and contracts under that Act are to be re- I pealed. j
