Fall in Mining Stocks in London.

' o (Per Press Association.) Sydney, This Day. The Herald, discussing tbe fall in mining stocks in London, says since the end of 1894 Companies have been registered in London for conducting operations in Western Australia with a capital totalling £24,000,000. Even if only one fifth of this amount was subscribed it is ou{ of all proportion to a reasonable expectation of payable returns. Since the discovery of gold in the colony the total output is only valued at ,£2,189,000, so that such an immense expenditure of capital is quite unjustified.
