o DEAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. BENEFIT FUND FOR MRS DEAN. fPer Press Association.) Sydney, Oct. 11. Dean has been committed for trial on a charge of perjury. This Day. A benefit fund bas been started for Mrs Dean. Several prominent citizens are on the Committee. Dean stated that Meagher mentioned Salomons' offer of money to leave the country. He would have jumped at the chance, as he always feared the secret would leak out, but he was determined to maintain a bold front till he found the game was up. Tho soot of the chimney in Dean's ' house has been analysed, and sufficient arsenic found to demonstrate that it had been burned in a fire.
