The Madagascar Campaign.
THE HOVAS SUE FOR PEACE. FALL OF THE CAPITAL. (Per Prens Association.) Pabis, October 7, News has been received that an engagement has taken place between the French troops and the Hovas, within ten miles of the capital of Madagascar. The French are closely pressing the Hoyas, who are making overtures to negotiate tor peace. October 8. The French troops captured Amatavarivo on September 27. The Court and Government fled to Amboeistra.
