Labour Day Celebrations.
-» (Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. Last night's stormblew out before the morning, and left a breezy but sunny day just wet enough under foot to keep the dust down. The labour procession was nearly an hour late in starting, and was of the usual character except that more individual trade advertisements than usual were introduced into it. The carpenters' trophy gained first prize for the best turn out, with the bootmakers second. The day will be filled up at the Basin reserve with sports and speeches.
