A Warning to Bakers.
(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, October 3. W. Wright, baker, was fined 40s and costs for selling a 21b loaf which was half an ounce light. The dough was divided by a machine, and it was admitted another loaf was over the weight. The S.M. said too much dependence was placed on the machine. He would have made the fine lighter it the Act allowed it.
