Correspondence between Mr Meagher and the Chairman of the Dean Defence Committee throws a modified ligbt on the Chairman's interview mentioned in yesterday's message. Mr Meagher reminds the Chairman what he said was that he may have, in conversation with Sir J. Salomons, made jocular reference to Dean, but he never told Salomons that Dean had confessed. The Chairman bears out this statement.
