Concert at Apiti.
(From Our Own Correspondent] The new 1.0. G.T. Hall at Apiti was opened last night with a concert', the Hall being packed. Mr T. Watson presided. The programme was as follows ; — Address by the chairman j recitations, " Alas, where is ho now," and " Trust in God " Master Stanley Shearer ; song, " Sailing," Mr B. Miller, address, Mr H. Tolly, junr. ; flute solo, Mr F. Barlow ; song, " The cows are in the clover " Miss Buckmah, who, also, sang " Good night " ; address, Mr W. G. Shearer, who, also, gave the song " Nil Desperandum " ; song, " The diver " Mr L. Carter ; song, •• Wedding morn," Mr W. Griffin ; trio, " Three Gipsy maids," Misses O. and D. Buckman and Miss Lillie Prince ; address, Mr F. S. Guy ; song, Mrs Prince ; song, " The Silver Rhiae," Miss Carter ; comic reading, Mr T; Watson, song, " Drive away," Mjf C. Golding ; the choruses " March on steady " and " Never mind," Apiti water drinkers. The concert was very successful. At its conclusion a dance was held in Mr Guy's Hall
