Manchester Rifles.

♦ The Shooting Committee of the Manchester Bifles met last evening. Present — Lieutenant Bray (in the chair), Sergt. Parker, Vols Saywell, Evans, Scott, and Wilson. Tne minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. Resolved, That Vol. Wilson be reelected secretary. Resolved, That the shooting season be opened on Wednesday, October 9tb, by a scratch match, teams to be selected on the ground, and the match to commence at 2 p.m. Resolved, That the corps be requested to procure 2000 rounds Martini-Henry ball cartridges as early as possible. Resolved, That Vol. Brooks be appointed marker at the same remuneration as last year. Resolved, That Vols. Saywell and Scott be empowered to have the targets and trench put iv order. Resolved, That ammunition be served out at the Volunteer Hall on parade nights, and on Tuesday evenings between the hours of 7 and 8 o'clock. A vote of thanks to Chairman closed the meeting.
