The revenue, taxation, and expenditure per head of the various colonies he places as follows '.—Victoria : Revenue, £5 14s sd ; taxation, £2 2s 6d, expenditure, £6 4s 6d ; New South Wales : £1 10s 4d, £2 3s 6d, and £1 8s 4d ; Queensland : £7 13s Id, £3 2s sd, aud £1 10s Id ; South Australia : £1 4s 9d, £2 4s Id, and £1 6s 6d ; Western Australia : .£ll l2s 3d, £6 0s 3d, and £10 3s 3d ; Tasmania : £4 9s id, £2 13s Qd, and £5 Is 3d ; New Zealand : £6 6s 3. a, £3 7s Ba, and £Q 9s '6d^
