MONTHLY FURNITURE REPORT.
Messrs Scoullar andChisholm, Wellington, report: -The chief feature of the trad a for last month has been the large number of country buyers in town adding to their comfbris. Our country friends are always welcome, as they usually bring the dollars with them, and know where to spend their money to advantage. .Kohn's best Austrian Chairs are still falling ia price, and are selling freely at c s Sd, for net cash. Feather Pillows have dropped from 6s 6d to 4s6d. Best Samarang Kapoc Beds have had a large sale at 15s, and Kapoc Pillows at 2s 6d. Double Spring Mattresses, well made 22s 6d. English Blankets since the advent of spring have fallen to 93 6d. Lineoleunis have had a big run at is to 3s 3d. Carpets are quite still. We have a few orders in hand for best Wilton and Brussels, with borders, at satisfactory prices. Pianos— Not much doing in this line. Any enquiries are for the best English brands, and prices are in favor of cash buyers, at 15 per cent reduction. Duchess Tables and Washstands are as low as £4 4s. ■ ' 2^
