(Per Press Association). Auckland, Sept. 28. Most of the transactions to-day on the Exchange were in Kuaotnnu stocks and the excellent return obtained from the Kapai-Vermont mine, 9460z gold valued at £2300, from 373 tons, having strengthened the market,' Kaipai - Vermont Shares advanced from' 23s 9d to! I&'s* while Try Fluke changed'hands at I3d (jd. Other Kuaotunu stocks were in de» mand at prices which showed little alteration. Coromandel stocks were still neglected though Welcome Finds were firm at 4s 2d, while Bunker's Hills sold at 6s 6d. Waitekauri stocks generally were not so firmly held. Transactions in Thames stocks were reported—in Victorias at Bs, Royals at Is 6d, and Alburnias at 7s 9d. The Waihi gold returns for the four weeks ending September 21st show that 3000 tons of ore were treated, and yielded .£10,732 worth of bullion, making a total of £38,935 of bullion obtained since July Ist of the present year. The total value from January was £81,025 worth. o.f ~hul, lion, and tbo value of the bullion since 1890 was £315,532.
