Campbelltown Notes.
[from oub own correspondent, i A very enjoyable social was held at Mr B. Gray's last evening. A fair number of young people were present and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. This is oae of many which have been held during the winter at different places, and the proceeds are to be devoted to a fund for renovating the interior of the Primitive Methodist Church. Ac the social of the Y.P.C.E.S. last week, Miss B. Jarvis, vice-president of the Society, was elected a delegate to attend the Convention at Wellington. She is heartily wished a pleasant trip. Next Sunday the pupils of the Primitive Methodist Sunday school are to take charge of the meeting, and hold a mission service in aid of mission woik. A chairman has been elected, a good programme is being provided, and the children are looking forward for a good collection. Fair progress is being made with the Anglican Church, and when completed it will be the sixth church erected here. The lambing season has been a great success. The Carnarvon Estate with its vast number of sheep had a percentage of 120. Several small lots even surpassed that. Shearing lias already begun, and considering the mild winter a good clip is anticipated.
