Foundering of a Hulk and Loss of Life.
(Per Press Association.) Sydney, Sept, 27. While the hulk Gem was being towed from Newcastle she encountered a heavy •rule nnd foundered off Broken Bay. L'U'seu (hulk keeper), with his wife and i faur-young children, and Holmes (a dock ' h-.na) were aboard. A heavy sea washed ! L-irsen and Holmes overboard. The re- ! inruiicUr of those on board were rescued before the vessel foundered.
