(Per Press Association.) Gkeymouth, Sept. 25. Captain Falconer, of the Torpedo Corps, fired the mine which had been laid round the wreck of tbe vessel Thurso in the river at noon. In all 2000 pounds of explosives were used, consisting of dynamite noburite and gun cotton. The blast was most successsul, the derelict being cleared away as far as the mast, which was the portion that lay in the fairway. Christchuroh, Sept. 25. The Mayor has sent a telegram to the Hon.
