(From Our Own Correspondent] On Thursday evening next there will be a Home Mission service at 7.30 in the Wesleyan Church. The Rev W. Keall will presidd The quarterly meeting of the circuit will be held on Monday the SOfch at 1 o'clock in the Church, After the meeting tea will be provided foi 1 the visitors. -In the evening a grantj concert and 'social will be held in the Town Hall. Mr W. Carthew, of Feild? ing, will occupy the chair. Mr Watson (of Feilding), the local Harmonic Society, Mr J. F. Stevens, Mrs Mcßeth and other friends have kindly consented to give their services for the occasion. This concert and social promises to be a big success. At the last meeting of the Kiwitea County Council it was decided to appoint an^assistant ranger. ;' It is : aKbut 'time tliS people of thya town held a meeting to- protest against the injustice of having their cattle driven nine miles simply because the Council will not erect a pound at Birmingham^ A fenced section for a pound was offered free to the Council but that was ignored, The Wardens who are supposed to represent us to all appearances ignoring the petition, any way they did not support ifc as the3 y should have done.
