(Per Press Association ) Napier, This Day. The Australia, which called in at Mercury Bay on her way from Auckland, brings news of a curious affair. A party of men were drinking at Mercury Bay about a week ago, and left for their work in the country. One, named Julius Anderson, a German, seemed ill, and was left on a side track by -his companions, about nine miles out. One of them returning five days afterwards found him dead where he was left.
