Another Outside Opinion of New Zealand.
(Per Press Association.) Sydney, This Day. Mr Villiers, war correspondent, interyiew.ed upon his visit to New Zealand, said it strnck him the people were not so happy as when he last yisjted the country 16 years ago. Woman's franchise he considers a mistake. He sees no objection to women really possessing a stake in the country having a vote, but ho does not agree with the one woman one vote principle. The Liquor Bill, especially the clause dealing with the closing of clubs at the same time as hotels, he considered an unwarrantable interference with the liberty of the subject. Speaking generally the colony had not fulfilled the great future he anticipated for it at his previous visit. The country was. lovely, the people charming, and nature had done everything for the place. Man alone was trying to ruin it. He had returned with stronger belief than ever than an unpaid Parliament is the most perfect form of Government.
