At a meeting of the Ra white Assembly of the Knights of Labour it was decided to write to the Minister of Lands urging him to display more activity in settling people on the land, more especially in the vicinity of large centres of population. The assembly expressed itself in accord with the principles of the Elective Executive Bill, but would prefer to see it coupled with the Referendum on all large questions.
