Disastrous Collision.

34 PEOPLE DROWNED. [Per Press Association j Havannah, Sep. 19. Tho Spanish cruiser Sancherg Barcaistegui, 935 tons, came into collision with a steamer at the entrance to Havannah harbor, and was wrecked. Thirty-four were drowned, including several officers, and one hundred and sixteen saved. September 20. The collision was due to the extinction of the sidelights on the steamer which struck the man-of-war, owing to the electric engine being stopped in order to extricate a sailor who had got entangled in tho machinery. The cruiser's boilers exploded, and she sank in four minutes. An admiral was among those drowned.
