A Hotelkeeper in Trouble.

«. (PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION) Invercargill, Sept. 18. The charge against James Bridge, Princess Hotel, of allowing his premises to be used aa a. brothel, was difmissed. On the other charge, of permitting women of ill-repute to remain longer on the premises than was necessary for refreshments, he was fined and costs. Mr Poynton granted counsel for the defendant time to consfder wether he would appeal. The charges came as a surprise to most people. Bridge has been a licensee here for many years and no charge had previously been brought against him.
