BATTING AND BOWLING AVER AGES. (Per Press Association). London, September 12. The batting averages of the season are headed by L. H. Gwynn, a Dublin University player, who however, only played in a few innings in firstclass cricket. His average is 56. McLaren conje3 nest with 51*20. W. G. Grace is third with 51. Ward is seventh on the list, and Stoddart thirteenth. In the bowling averages ltichacdson is fourth and Peel sixth. Melbourne, Sept 16. The Melbourne Cricket Club's net profits upon Stoddart's visit were L 3349.
