The match Wellington v Wairarapa played at Masterton on Saturday, resulted in a win for Wairarapa by eight points to nil. Hawke's Bay beat Poverty Bay by 14 points to 3 in their match on the Napier show ground on Saturday last. The following team has been chosen by tbe Junior Selection Committee to represent Manawatu against Horowenua on Wednesday next: — Fnll-back, G. Short : three-quarters, W. Lloyd, Way, C. Slattery; five-eighth, J. Manning; half, G. Butler ; forwards, Eyre, Sharman. Blom, F. DeLuen, Bilderbeck, J. Smith, W. Smith : wings, Wishart, Parkes. — Emergencies — Backs, Allen and J. Smith ; forwards, J. DeLuen, Purser and Morris.
