A Journalist Committed for Trial.

Q (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, Sept. 11. In the Magistrate's Court, T. Hornsby proprietor of tbe Sun newspaper, was committed for trial on the charge of libelling Mr J. A. Cargill, solicitor, in connection with recent licensing cases. Defendant explained that the remarks were not intendod in the light accopted by the plaintiff and apologised, but the latter was not accepted. Bail was allowed in one surety of LIOO.
