A New Oil Industry.

The following extraordinary and incredible story appears in an Indian lournal — The Planter :— " Have you ever heard of the ' M iiniahwallah Sahib ? He sells human oil. His agents -natives —go round tbe various districts in the cold season, and when they catch hold of an unsuspecting native after dark, they hang him up by the heels over a slow fire, m»ke an inicsion in the back of the neck, and catch the oil which exndes. The victim in the end dies, and the body is hidden away. The tea garden coolies of the Doon holds this mysterious gentleman in great terror, and eyes all strangers with a very suspicious glance. Periodically an alarm is raised that some of his myrmidons are present, and then managers find that they have to knock off work fully an hour earlier than usual, for neither threats nor cajolery will induce a native to move out of his house after dark.
