A match played at Taonui yesterday between tbe Taonui boys and the * eliding Blneboys, resulted in a win for the latter by 26 points to nil. For the winners, tries were scored by C. Woolven 2 H. Smith, A. Saxon, N. Bray, aud E. Reade. E. Reade converted two tries into goals, whilst A. Reade and C. Woolven converted one apiece. The Taonui Boys lacked combination, which mainly accounted for their defeat. D. Hoppy played best for the losers.
(Pek Press Association.) Invercargill, Sept. 11. The interprovincial match Canterbury v. Southland was won by Canterbury by 10 points to 4.
