A European Leper.

Melbourne, September 9 Another sad case of leprosy has been discovered near Brisbane. The patient John lunea, was for many years toreman at Mr F. Kibbins's tannery. For the past 18 years he had been in the hands of doctors, none of whom have been able to cure him. Three years ago one of the doctors pronounced the symptoms those of leprosy, but other doctors subsequently decided that it was not. Innes recently voluntarily submitted himself to the Government Bacteriologist, who, after a careful examination, pronounced liim to be suffering from advanced leprosy, Innes therefore placed his affairs in order, and he has since been conveyed to the leper station at Dunwich. Mr Stevens, a member of the Assembly, and Innes' employer have undertaken the care of his wife and children. —Post. „,,1,1,1 ■■■
