Railway Retrenchment.
(Pee Press Association.) Adelaide, Sept. 10. Part of the retrenchment scheme, nnder the new regulations of the Railway Department, is published dating from Ist July last. All annual increases in pay are stopped, and it provides for reducihg the rates of pay to the extent of 6d to Is per day in connection witn future appointments in tbejower grades and junior branches, but does not apply to present employes.
