[Per Press Association.] Dunedin, Sep. 9. In connection with the CanterburyOtago match, the mention of the fact of some players being injured, and of the play being " hard," might lead to a miss conception that the play was rough. i Such was not the case of those tempor- : arily injured. They really suffered bes cause of their own hard play. Davies, . the Otago half-back, it appears, was i hurt early in the game. i The match committee of the Mana- • watu Bugby Union being unable to get a i team to play Tarauaki at Hawera, on i Friday, have decided to let the match > lapse this season. Next year the Manai watu Bugby Union will play Wanganui > and Taranaki.
