The Licensing Bill.
(Per i J ress Association). Dunedin, Sept. 9. At a meeting of the Prohibition League The following resolution was passed : — " This League, recognising how extensive the licensing areas are in many parts of the Colony, cordially support the Premier in the proposal that the colonial option poll should be taken on the day of the general election, and call upon members of Parliament to support this, a fair proposal ; aud that we are satisfied that many more voters will be cast than ou any other day, thus gaining fuller expression of the will of the electors of the Colony. The League, however^ urges that the poll be taken at every dissolution of Parliament."
