State Advances to Settlers.
(PBB PBKM AMOOfATIOW.) Adelaide, September 6. The Chamber of Commerce has issued a lengthy reply to. the Treasurer's advocacy of the State Advances Pill. It states the Bill is based oo wrong principles, and its practical operation will constitute a mentmco to the financial stability of the community. Iv New Zealand the scheme contained more safeguards, but was already producing trouble, as relaxation of the conditions prescribed by the Act and essential to safety is demanded and has virtually bees promised.
