A number of milk suppliers in the vicinity of the Scanway Factory met last night to re-open negotiations with Mr W. Sir Corpe decided, at I the end of last summer, not to re-open this factory, as the suppliers did not ac. cept his offer of 2d per gallon for their milk, they holding out for 2*d. The meeting last night was called at the request of several suppliers, and Mr Corpe offered to meet them in the difference half way by paying 2^d per gallon of Hlbs on a 3-6 test as a standard, reserving the right to refuse any milk at a lower test. The tailk to be delivered every morning except Sunday, but he would take Sunday's milk providing it was delivered sweet on Monday morning. The skim milk to be returned to suppliers. In the event of hie deciding to make cheese, Mr Corpe agreed to pay 2Jd a gallon for the milk. He was prepared to receive milk from October Ist, providing he got 250 gallons per day The number of dairy farmora in the room represented 250 cows, and they all agreeed excepting two of the largest sup pliers, who refused to accept the offer. It was ultimately decided that the offer should be left open for one week, the agreement being left with Mr Jensen, to allow the suppliers refusing to sign time to reconsider their decision.
