Droughts and Bush Fires in Australia.
[Per Press Association j Sydney, Sept. 4. In consequence of the continued drought, fodder and prices are advancing. Large quantities of fodder are being sent to Sydney which never before had to import them. Within the last month meat has advanced Id to I.UI per lb —id this week. Tlus Day. Harrowing reports as to the state of the country through fires and scarcity of feed continue to ponr in. Brisbane, September 4. The drought and bush fires are assuming a most serious aspect in the Log/m district, crops being ruined, and many cattle dying of starvation.
