F. R. Jackson and 00. report : — The sales conducted by us during the past fortnight have passed off well, all stock selling at improved prices. At Waverley the bidding was brisk, and at Wanganui competition was keen for both cattle and sheep. Pigs were also better worth. Cattle — At Waverley: Fat cows L 4 Is to L 4 10s ; mixed stores, L 2 lls ; heifers, L.3 Is to L 4; milch cows, I»5 to L 6 10s ; yearlings, 30s to 365. At Wanganui : Cows, L 2 Is to L 3 ; young steers L 2 13s 6d ; yearlings, 27s to 393 ; heifers, L 2 6s to L 3. Sheep— At Waverley : Fat wethers, lls Xd ; stores, 8s Qd ; hoggets, 5s lOd to 8s 4d ; dry ewes, 6s 6d. At Wanganui : Fat sheep, lls ; fat wethers, lls 6d to 13s 2d ; stores, 10s Id to lls fat ewes, 8s 9d. Pigs — Small baconers, 31s to 395; porkers, 15s to 225; small pigs, 3s 6d to Cs 6d.
