Catterthun Enquiry.
(Per Press Association.) Sydney, Sept. 2. At the inquiry a letter was read from the Seal Rocks fishermen, stating they had discovered reefs not marked on the chart in the vicinity of the wreck. Cap- > tain Hall said he did not believe in the discovery. The charts were correct, and i he was confident he bad ascertained the ' rock on which the B teamer struck. The i Chinese steward deposed that he had < supplied the ladies with life belts. 1 Crane said the ladies, when the water ; in the saloon was above their knees, had i no belts. He was confident some never i got any, though when the danger was 1 realised everything possible was done. The officers, he thought, were too long in realising that time was being wasted. Fully ten minutes elapsed after she struck before the passengers were called and the ship foundered three or four minutes afterwards.
