The aiiuual report of the Minister of Agriculture states the butter export trade is having an important effect in expanding the dairy industry, and that butter factories are spreading in all parts of the colony. The dairying zone is rapidly extending and this also has had a good effect on other industries. Sydney. Sept. 2. Sailed — Alameda. Captain A. Coote is a passenger by hor. He is on his way to Washington on business connected with the Pacific cable.
