11 'O — — — — ~* (Per Press Association.) Sydney, August 31. The leading tobacconists have asked the Colonial Secretary to raise the tobacco license from 5s to Jt'2o, with the object of crushing out a large class of traders who, it is alleged, only use the shops as a blind to carry on gambling. The Minister said the Government had decided to put down gambling at all hazards. ____^_______
