N.Z. Dairy Union.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington', August 29. At the annual meeting of tbe New Zealand Farmers' Association Mr Brown, Chairman of Directors, presided. In moving the adoption of the report already published, in which was regretted the loss made on Londou shipments owing to the exceptional collapse of the Home butter market, Mr Brown said tbe reason the balance-sheet was not presented afc that meeting was owing to tbe indifferent manner in which the books had been kept for a portion of the 3?ear, not permitting an accurate-statement to be made. Ho mentioned that the milk supplied for tbe year was over 2,000,000 gallons, for which was paid £'21,941, the average price being 2 63d per gallon. The output of butter was 917,0001bs or 400 tons, the average price being 83s per cwt. He declared the prospects for next year were improving, and the Association would soon see the necessity for shipping all the year round. Messrs Nathan and Co., the Association agents, had agreed to a reduction of 1\ per cent. in commission, and a motion of thanks was then carried.— The report was then adopted. It was decided to remove the registered office from Palmerston North to "Wellington. The meeting then adjourned until the balance sheet, which was being prepared by a local firm of accountants, was ready.
