At the annual meeting of the Pastornlists Association, the report stated that although the Shearers' Union had abandoned the fight for the present, the Executive had plainly stated its intention of resuming hostilities when it was strong enough ond wanted to do so. Baron Mailer reported strongly on the proposed introduction of American phylloera resisting vine. Stocks and cuttings he says, are only a resistant to a certain extent, and it is impossible to really dis infi et the pest. It may exist, though unobservable under ordinary circumstances.
