The Colliery Fire.

(Per Press Association.) Sydney, August 26. The fire at Seaham colliery is still burning, and 256 men are thus thrown" out of work. The fire causes the suspicion that it was the work of an incendiary. This Day. The fire in the mine at Broken Hill . is still smouldering. The ground continues to subside, from which a considerable amount of smoke is issuing. Water is again being poured into the mine. In the opinion of experts it will be a week before it is safe tore-open the Seabam Colliery. It is feared the sealing up of the shafts will cause the generation and the explosion of foul gases, consequent serious damage.
