Charge against a Publican,

(Per Press Association.) Dusedix. August 26. At the Police Court a charge against Weir, licensee of the Hotel Metropole at St. Clair, of permitting dinmkenness on his premises was dismissed. The case arose out of the death, after being out all night, of a man named Been, who " had been supplied with drink at the hotel. The bench held that the evidence did not show the man was in such a state as to have been looked upon ag drunk.
