I Abraham & Williams report— Business j during the week has had a brighter tone. Store wethers, fat sheep and sound hoggets advanced in price. Bullocks and steers commanded better attention and sold freely. At Awahuri on Tuesday a moderate number of cattle came forward, but a small one of sheep. All lots were cleared. At Palmerstou yesterday there was a good entry most of the stock was of a useful character. The bulk of the cattle were steers and bullocks 3 and o year old. Fat cows sold freely, other sorts were disposed of more readily than of late. On enquiry we 1 ascertained that the sheep, which pos- \ sossed plenty of quality, were bred by Mr Donald Grant, of Kairanga. — Standand.
