Messrs Barraud and Abraham's Loudon agent, Messrs Turnbull and Co., report by the last 'Frisco mail as follows :— Butter — The extremely dry weather which bas prevailed all over Europe for some weeks, has lessened the supplies to a considerable extent, and tho market has become much stronger with rising prices, the advance recorded being from 12s to 18s per cwt. on Irish and Danish, aud 4s to 14s per cwt. on good to finest Colonial. Colonial produce, which is still arriving on a reduced scale, has found a ready market and good sale, while tha prospects for the ensuing season continue to improve. Tbe arrivals have been — From Australia : — Per Warrnarnboel, 8051 boxes, Victoria 3158, Orrauiz, 3525. From Now Zoaland \— Per Gothic, 606 packages, Kaikoura 887. To-day's quotations arc : - Irish, 76s to 96s per cwt ; French, 84s to 100s ; Danish 94s to 100s ; Australian and New Zealand finest 90s to 94s ; do., fine 80s to 86s : do., good 6Ss to 78s. Cheese — The Gothic brought 2343 cases and the Kaikoura 3078 from New Zealand, and the Warrnambool landed 2084 cases. Business has been brisker iv the last fortnight, but without any notable advance in prices, which were low enough to stimulate consumption and bring about a considerable reduction in the stocks of American. The Colonial manufacture is not yet, however, in very active demand. The prices current to-day are ; — American, last season's 28s to 44s per cwt, do., new 36s to 40s ; Australian 36s to 425: New Zealand 30s to 40s.
