Ministerial Travelling Expenses

A return presented to the House shows the amounts drawn by Ministers by way of travelling allowances and expenses during the year ending 31st March last. These amounts, together with £'3 19d6d for joint expenses, made up a total of £2635 8s lOd. In the expenses of all the Ministers except Mr Cadman and Mr Montgomery the cost of conveyance of Ministers' secretaries and other officers is included. The expenses of the Premier's native tonr through the North Island reached .£494 9s 6d. Of this amount Mr Secldon received £63 as allowances and £190 7s .3d for expenses, while Mr Carroll drew £63 as allowances and £178 2s Id for expences,
